Now, every family should have a family history, no? So. Our family was formed earlier this year when our (soon to be) fps mentor ms may tan asked if any of us would like to try out fps! And so our family was formed. Audrye, Huimin, Chris-Tin and Shuting.
Since march we have battled through problems, underlying problems, solutions, criteria, ranking and action plans, at the same time braving global warming, freedom of speech and most recently, nutrition.
Our unofficial meeting venue was always Chris-tin's house, and in the process, all of us gained weight with all the many many many marks and spencers cookies and ruffles we had! So much for learning about all the transfat.
It was in this intellectual environment that chemical bonding took place! In the end, we officially became the fps family, which can withstand high temperatures without any change in state. XD
A note about the name! reverse electrolysis was one of our action plans! and fps stands for Future Problem Solving!
Did you know? Chris-Tin killed the blog the first time because she didnt know that half the html for the blog was cut off, and she saved the template changes! so she had to do it all over again. ):

tadaima!
today was a suprisingly productive day (in christin terms that is,) with no bench work at all. just alot of planning and planning. it was kind of sian but yay my supervisor brought me to engineering dept which has REAL nice food. they even have a macs, where we went later to eat ice cream. when we were there, a weird guy came up to me and asked where he could buy a shirt like mine. i'm sure i gave him a blur look at first but REVELATION. i was wearing my project white elephant shirt. well folks, they are NOT IN PRODUCTION ANYMORE, and have not been since um, 2005. sorry about that. hm then anyway we were talking about the shrek ears and my supervisor bet me two icecream cones and a canned drink that i wouldnt wear shrek ears from macs to the bus stop. CLEARLY, someone was wrong. anyway yeah then he was saying how i wouldnt wear it into the lab (haha wrong again), but then we were saying how if we really ran into our mentor then uhoh. and WHO should we see walking towards the main door than DRHENG himself! so i swiped off my ears (in a very smooth motion i might add). my supervisor later said that i had good reflexes. ahh all i can say is DONT TEST THE 3RD BASE. yay. shrek ears are actually very comfortable to wear, and they work as hairbands! so i kept wearing them for awhile after that mmm.
me and my supervisor have this speculation that the lab we work in has bad fengshui, it being at the end of the corridor and everything. so today, i took my work into the pantry just to test it out. the verdict? the pantry has too many food smells. yum.
after srp i went to bishan, and who should i meet on the train but sarah ong! my brother's ex classmate cum ex rg prefect cum ex softballer! she's going to yale omg so smart. AND she's still doing attachment at the genome institute 0o anyway i ended up in bishan library where i DEVOTED myself (i say proudly) to differentiation, which, might i add, is NOT the language of the devil. there i stayed until about 8:15 when i emerged from my little cave on the 4th floor because i'd given up waiting for my suddenly very hygienic batchmates. you see, we were supposed to celebrate ping and chewy's birthdays and training ended around 710? but evidently everyone went to bathe (or something like that) so they walked into j8 around 8:35. and i had to leave by 9 (by order of the matriarch) so sad it was. sorry ping, i still love you ok? (and i got you free icecream! and a main course!) after i left the library and bought my emergency (lj) dinner, i called gen (who also didnt go for training) and walked around with her for a total of 10 seconds until we saw the rest of them.
dinner was an unknown affair, owing to the fact that i WASNT THERE. -.- im sad. well anyway ping and chewy hope you guys had a good time! well i have to wake up early tmr so i shall sign off here. oyasuminasai!
i miss storytime.
