Now, every family should have a family history, no? So. Our family was formed earlier this year when our (soon to be) fps mentor ms may tan asked if any of us would like to try out fps! And so our family was formed. Audrye, Huimin, Chris-Tin and Shuting.
Since march we have battled through problems, underlying problems, solutions, criteria, ranking and action plans, at the same time braving global warming, freedom of speech and most recently, nutrition.
Our unofficial meeting venue was always Chris-tin's house, and in the process, all of us gained weight with all the many many many marks and spencers cookies and ruffles we had! So much for learning about all the transfat.
It was in this intellectual environment that chemical bonding took place! In the end, we officially became the fps family, which can withstand high temperatures without any change in state. XD
A note about the name! reverse electrolysis was one of our action plans! and fps stands for Future Problem Solving!
Did you know? Chris-Tin killed the blog the first time because she didnt know that half the html for the blog was cut off, and she saved the template changes! so she had to do it all over again. ):

let is all bow down our heads and take a moment to mourn the passing of a few potatoes.
They were just lowly potatoes, but their existence was justified as they were beautified with beautiful curls, and moisturised by extensive amounts of oil. Sadly, they were not to fulfil their destiny as their consumer COULDNT TASTE THEM.
omg i hate having an alternately blocked/runny nose, i totally couldnt taste my twister fries and i was so sad because they were FRESH and HOT and their texture was SO PERFECT. =( i feel cheated of my calories.
our sunscreen lotion sucks because it broke. =( this is really really sad. oh my group just cant to creams la i tell you.
shuting walked into the men's bathroom today. im not convinced that she did it entirely by accident. -winks-
my body is subjecting me to increasing levels of bacteria/viral invasions. this sucks. haha okay fine i deserve it by the treatment im giving it.

im here to break chris-tin's chain ! i shall type a quick entry before going to watch my full house hohoho. i know it's reallyy late to be watching it now but still, i like it terribly muchy. pingping doesnt like it but im telling you only true romantics appreciate it okay! xD i like options, particularly my bio option it's absolutely fascinating to go back to studying the human anatomy after all that dna science. plus we have a lot of free time in school to talk, eat, play tennis, squash, pretend to do math, watch movies, it's a lot of fun :D
but because options are taking up so much time, these days im either in school or at home, even during the weekends. last saturday though, was the day when i found out that it was going to be an interesting weekend after all. we were in school after a tedious long session of financial literacy (i spent the 3h of the course talking to liping and yuhyiing), when suddenly jane bounced up to ask if we wanted to watch singapore idol finals on sunday. bib had tickets but she couldnt go so she had a pair of tickets to offer! (THANKYOU liping for letting me go thankyouthankyou and THANKYOU bib love for the tickets the seats are great) see how my entire weekend was immediately brightened up at the prospect of watching idols final live?
saturday afternoon was fun we had production rehearsals and bib choreographed 2 sets of the horror dance for us and what can i say. she's brilliant. we watched a lot of michael jackson, a lot of grease to get a feel of the different dances and they're all so fab. BUT CANNOT BEAT SUNDAY. guess who jane and i were supporting?
i was supposed to do my math in the afternoon but obviously i couldnt concentrate so i started making a big L for jonathan Leong (jane was making the J). haha we're kind of strange why didnt we make JON or something? anyway after lugging my L very loserly down to the stadium we didnt end up waving our letters around. i wont elaborate why haha. the show was good. there were a lot of memorable moments during the show, on and off camera, such as justin ang falling off the stage by accident, joaquim and gurmit singh playing catching through the rows of the vj choir. but oh the singing. i have no idea what they sounded like on tv (not very good, if it's anything like what i heard on monday evening), but the singing in the stadium and the atmosphere were so good. jane and i were like two crazy kids. at first we banged our clappers like crazy but after a while they started to leak and go all soft and we had to blow them every 30 seconds so we gave up and waved our lightsticks around (WHY did i buy myself a BLUE one. WHY BLUE. WHY DONT THEY COME IN WHITE). hady undoubtedly has good vocals. and his song choices ensured that he could liven up the atmosphere in the stadium with no difficulties. no offence to his fans but although hady's voice is good his singing didnt make my hair stand up or anything it didnt touch me i didnt see the personality. on the other hand i thought jon was sexy haha. hady did better as a performer though. he was good with the space on stage. our dear jon kept crooning to the camera despite jane and i urgently sending psywaves to him to come over to our side or even look at us (can you believe that for the entire evening, he didnt even so much as glance over?!) . but it's okay! we forgive you jon hahaha and we'll buy your album and go down to your autograph session so that we can shake hands with you proper :D yup and it's okay jon didnt win in the end. less competition with us for him: D
then yes on monday we had our regular tennis session! we're actually getting better i cant believe it but YAY. chris has described the evening so i shant bother xD but the thing about tennis is this. chris and i are both terribly lazy people. way too lazy. we dont like to run. so when chris serves the ball to the edge of the court, i would just stand there and watch it. and we keep waiting for double bounces. nvm we'll deal with that in time to come, once we've improved our strokes and i stop making the ball go out -.-
cant wait for this friday/saturday sln camp! then ora dinner on saturday, probably the last time i'll be wearing my formal u sigh. monday is a school holiday! fiel is recording our cd, followed by 4h of tennis with chris how fun :D next week is also the week we're getting back our ridiculous exam papers, the week when im determined to unscrew our nrp project, the week when i'll find a present for shaun, the week when i'll start putting a bit more thought into congress, the week when i'll start revising for chinese. yes next week.

Now the last 6 posts are mine. I wonder how long it will take until i completely dominate this blog. -glances over at shuting, huimin and auds-
TODAY, at 1802hrs, i arrived home strangely cold from the car ride home. So i went to bathe. and GUESS WHATTTTT. the water was COMPLETELY DEVOID of heat. According to the laws of thermal equilibrium, i was losing heat potential. i hate bathing with cold water i dont feel clean enough because i just want to get out of that shower as soon as possible. (as you may have guessed, im not very environment friendly when it comes to water. hehhh.

i shall blog more about tennis. yes because my childhood friend melissa was at my house, me shuting and melissa went to play tennis together. at first we all wore caps to guard against the flying insects! i tell you the flying insects are really creepy and annyoing once i touched my face and found out that in the process i had squashed one. yeahh so i grabbed the first 3 caps i saw --> my comb schs one, my starhub one and the mph one. haha so i was playing for singapore, shuting was playing for starhub and mel was playing for... mph. -.^

i think we've come very far in the pursuit of tennis! i still remember when we first started we couldnt even get the ball over the net (or went too far haha) now we're trying to give one another POWER SHOTS (shuting shuting you make me jealous) which im not very good at because i tend to hold my racket kind of loosely so ahhh if i dont contact properly the ball goes blonk and dies. but there was this one rally, where we were really going all out and giving power shots every opportunity we could. and it totally rocked we were so proud of ourselves.
Yes so anyway sometimes mel and me paired and sometimes shuting and mel paired and sometimes shuting and i paired against mel. and when shuting and mel paired up together on one side of the net, they BULLIED POOR POOR ME. [bully small girl.] -.- see i would serve to melissa, then she would give me a corner shot to my left, so i'd backhand straight into shuting. and SHUTING is SUPERBLY EVIL when it comes to her forehand shots because she has this zao where she skims the ball over the net into the right hand corner of the front box, which left me scrambling constantly from one court to another.

later we went back to my house to watch singapore idol!!!! lol shuting had to leave at 9 or else she wouldnt get a lift to the mrt, so she resorted to first using her zen to listen to the radio, and when she went underground (NO RECEPTION!), i called her and told her the terrible news that her jonathan had lost. nvmind shuting less people to fight with for him right! XD
and thats about all i have to say. next monday monday monday lets all look forward to next monday.

Her ivory hands sit patiently upon the folds of her silk skirt. Her head was tilted to one side, in a position of gentle alertness, waiting for the rustle that would signal the return. The long golden mane that shone and sparkled in the warm soft sunlight only reminded her of her solitude.
The eyes, if you looked into them, were deep pools of longing, flooded with the emotions of her bursting heart. Encircling her in that vast ballroom were the pale marble statues of the greek gods, zeus, and athena, which seemed to offer a small sliver of empathy for her lonely plight.
Just as she thought the boredom pressing down on her would no longer be bearable, the welcome click of the lock was heard.
"My sweet sweet rapunzel, i have come for you!"
The sweet maiden rose from the hard wooden chair, trembling with emotion. No. she wouldnt throw herself at him. No. But the dam that was her conscious mind was breached by the surge of unchecked feelings.

harp concert rocked more than i thought it would. XD harps are so cool. and auds plays the harp did you know that? my daddy wants me to learn how to play the electric guitar though.

3 friends are waiting in the library. Augustine, affectionately known as Augs, Benjamin Wang, aka B1 and Mindy do their application of integration worksheets patiently. Christopher is late.
Augs: And you see B1, thats why a single raindrop falling from the sky with a constant acceleration by the g force without consideration of air resistance would kill a person when it falls.
B1: oh. say it hits Mindy's head. Would the wood crack?
Mindy: Christopher is late.
[Christopher walks in and dumps his stuff onto the table]
Mindy: You're 25 minutes too late. [starts humming to self] "Boy i've missed your kisses, all the time but this is, 25 minutes too late..."
Chris: Sorry. I was so high, i took so long to come down.
B1: Whats high?
Augs: hot air balloons. trees. That stupid giraffe on his bag.
B1: Which one? There're two.
Augs: Or maybe it was a turtle.
[silence]
Chris: ARGGGUHHHHHHHH. I TELL YOU THERE IS SO SUCH THING AS NEGATIVE DISTANCE.
Mindy: beauty queen of only eighteen, she had some trouble with herself....
Augs: maybe you move into another dimension.
B1: you forgot to mod it.
Augs: i like christopher's way better.
Mindy: we all live in a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine...
[Mindy produces a bag of ruffles]
B1: where did that come from?
Mindy: (inspects bag) ummm, India. no wait. pakistan.
Augs: i wonder why they have ruffles in india. all they wear are sari things isnt it.
Chris: Thats just one giant piece of cloth.
Augs: i dont see why they cant buy those things by the roll from spotlight. its so much cheaper.
Mindy: i had a roll for breakfast. i gave it to the deer though.
B1: where would there be a deer next to you during breakfast?
Mindy: It was a stuffed one. I just added to its stuffing.
Chris: I could sure eat a deer right now. Open the indian chips.
[sound of munching ensues]
B1: i have to go to the lab for awhile.
Augs: once, someone told me to meet him at the physics lab. only he said "faeces lab". So i went to the toilet but he didnt show up. what nerve.
Chris: how... tragic.
Mindy: (continues humming to herself) so much for my happy ending.... na na, na na
[B1 leaves]
Auds: if we plot her velocity-time graph, we could find out the distance from here to the labs and back by findint the area under the graph.
Chris: yeah lets predict the time she takes to get back.
Mindy: i bet she takes half an hour.
[31 minutes later, B1 returns]
Chris: you lose. now give me all your ruffles.
Mindy: (starts crying and wailing) "to be hurt, to be lost, to be left out in the dark, to be kicked, when you're down, to feel like you've been pushed around!"
B1: stop that awful screeching you sound like an augry.
Augs: a WHAT?
B1: a YOU.
Augs: i dont screech.
Chris: i once knew a girl who screeched alot. she got a sore throat after that though. i told her to drink coke to let the acid in there dissolve the bacteria.
B1: did it work?
Chris: it worked so well she couldnt find the words to thank me until one week later.
B1: oh.
Augs: i prefer pepsi.
Mindy: I WANT CANDY! I WANT CANDY!

my computer is dead. i cant use like anything except for notepad and internet explorer. try anything else and the CPU starts buzzing like mad and then it hangs. actually not internet explorer either. its just by some stroke of luck that i havent closed this window. once i close this i wont be able to open it again without my computer exploding on me. kaboom !
maybe it'll get better by tomorrow.. as if.
it all makes sense doesnt it? first i wake up and give a whole new definition to ugly, then you come along and totally ruin my day, then i discover that i have a _____ problem, and to top it all off my computer dies on me when i have a report due.
i need this more than ever now.

whee!!! oh dear i think i have become too addicted to alot of bad things. like chatting into the wee hours of the morning, reading more and more manga (AGAIN), and eating nonstop.
poor shuting how did your lip swell??? haha okay nvmind we'll see the extent of the damage tmr. TENNIS TMR!!! HURRAY! and the first meeting of the MONDAY MOVIE MATES. XD i wonder if we'll REALLY go and watch a movie. i hope so!
i miss fps. i miss gorging on ruffes and vienniese cookies and and and apple strudel and chicken rice and duck rice and and staying up so late just to come out with incredibly lame things like "the friendly band of friendship lovers". XD and giraffe rides. i miss huimin with her pears, auds with her perpetual wearing of track pants when everyone else is in fbts (auds you have PRETTY clothes! flaunt them more often!) and shuting with (lets eat the entire bottle of lays. i'll eat half and you'll eat half okay?) ohoh and our "im going to fall asleep on this stack of resources can we PLEASE PLEASE take a half an hour fruits basket break?"
i cant imagine in rj and i wont be able to see any of them very often. =( and its not like we'll remotely be in the same cca or anything. and theres a very very small possibility that we'll be in the same class. sigh maybe we'll see each other in the canteen! (if anyone jumps on you it's probably me.) and next year i can only expect it to be as or even more hectic as sec4 so = not much going out time.
on a happier note i must thank shuting (I LOVE SHUTING) for helping me through the (what i can only refer to as) "reverse-cockroach paranoia syndrome". it made me feel alot better and even i am SO NOT GOING TO DO IT, if it really really doesnt solve itself (-touch wood-) then i'll have someone prodding me forward from behind.
oh have i told you? im demented. i asked at least 2 people how to differentiate when i meant integrate. then i told someone else that the area bounded by blah blah blah is a triangle when i meant a rectange. THEN i read the stupid maths question wrongly and had half a page of working before i realised that it wasnt actually so complicated and i only needed like 2 lines.
everyone go sign your blood donation forms! i dont even remember taking a blood test before so i absolutely dont know what to expect. oh well i shall be strong. remember! by donating blood you SAVE LIVES.

every time i happen to look into the mirror today, i see a giant chipmunk staring back at me. quite similar to what bugs bunny would look like if he managed to close his mouth over those giant teeth. so much so that i half-expect myself to start sprouting long ears and nibble on carrots.
the past week of careless eating has resulted in some protesting at last. too much "heaty" food, mummy says. so now there's a big swell inside my upper lip. no spicy food no deep-fried food no seafood less meat no chocolates no junk food from now until at least a week after it heals! otherwise mummy threatens that it'll return worse than ever. and by that time i would look even more like the authentic bugs bunny - yeah i wouldnt be able to close my mouth any more.

are you familiar with the snack? where you cut up pieces of rice cake and roll it in chopped peanuts. yup here's your guide to making giant, human versions of them.
step 1. order every one of your victims to kayak for an hour in the sea, capsize a couple of times, and then make them immerse in the sea water for some time to make sure that they're thoroughly wet.
step 2. make them roll on the sand. when people are wet, sand sticks! so you laugh evil-ly : D and help the less sandy ones out by pouring more sand onto them.
step 3. grab another group of your victims and make them roll OVER the original group. ouch, try not to mind the sounds of bones cracking.
step 4. force them to smile for the camera!
step 5. RUN REALLY FAST because everyone is ready to take revenge after that.

merde i told someone to submit sli yearbook report for me because im supposed to end at 5 i told someone i couldnt go somewhere because im supposed to end at 5 im supposed to be in school for cca because I DIDNT END AT 5.
okay so maybe it's not too bad. but just goes to show how senile i am. senile when dealing with work, dealing with people, dealing with my new-found post-handover senior status, senile in my expectations, in what im looking for.

after listening to yiran fantexi many many times over the past few days, i can finally say that i like it. it sure took a bit of time for this album. but then again, following the release of november's chopin, i kept listening to it day after day in france too, on sujun's phone, huimin jerome's mp3 players, before i started liking it a lot. i remember there was once edwin started singing really loudly while listening to yequ. when i went over to ask for one earpiece, he and jerome were like "KNEW IT" haha. until now it's still one of my favourite songs because it's THE song of french immersion. hey twenty7 let's go somewhere on our one year anniversary to celebrate our family birthday : D
first day of options! it was good im glad i took pharmaceutical chem instead of photonics. i never really liked practicals but the 2h long prac was actually fun. and i like mrs lim! although she was a very interesting invigilator during eois, she's nice to her class and she's quite funny : D tingliping is my hilarious and hazardous lab partner! during the 2h prac there were a few times that i was laughing so hard i couldnt grip my pen properly. all the stupid things we do xD we use all these corrosive toxic FLAMMABLE chemicals in class. if the fire alarm ever sounds on a tuesday afternoon, you'll know that it's probably because of us : D

before tackling the large large LARGE arab israeli notes, i shall blog abit about yesterday's netball carn! ahha it rocked but so sad we lost to 410 by 2 points. if only we had won 409 or just submitted a banner. -cries very sadly-
haha okay so netball carn started when it was cloudy and oh it just had to rain. so we watched our cheerers cheer and okay i never heard 412 or the other class who won something, but in my heart YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST. it was well performed and well sung and well written! haha it was seriously very very good!
so after that we went back outside and it had miraculously stopped raining! and so the games started. but from 7 min games they were cut to THREE. we were all quite ah..... -.- but despite peaceful protests to ms tan hai nee it stuck at that. anyway ms tan said something like one centre pass should be played within 17 seconds. -.^
mmm well the games were all quite uneventful, some of them were really heart stopping because we didnt score the first goal. ah but we won everybody except for 410 and 409. but here are some HIGHLIGHTS. (all of you know whats coming dont you?)
408 game.
okay i was so so so so so so traumatised okay. =( points to note: i was playing GD, shuting was playing GK. yeah so halfway through the game, i felt something hit my leg or hand or something. then when i turned around, i saw the opposing center on the floor clutching her ankle (btw i saw her on crutches today poor thing). then ahh... someone (the GA, the one i was defending) got very pissed off at us because she thought one of us pushed the center. anyway the center was helped off the court and that someone confronted shuting and said "shuting, do you know who pushed [insert center's name] down? it's either you or christin so one of you better go and apologise to her later." mmm then i dont know what shuting said to her but our first aider, weiming later said that the center reported that she tripped and no one pushed her. yeah.
okay so now that someone was fuming mad already. so at one point she made a short pass to her GS, but i whacked the ball away. PERPENDICULARLY away from them, not into them. Then suddenly she turned around and screamed into my face "CAN YOU STOP WHACKING THE BALL INTO PEOPLE'S FACES?" then i think i either gave her a blur look or a dirty look because i cant remember. yeahh so after that when we were toeing the line at the other side she pushed me. like on purpose. i can understand if she did that if the ball was potentially coming to me or something because sometimes you cant help doing it (i do it all the time anyway) but there was NO WAY the ball was going to come to us (and whats more the ball was in our safe possession in the D) so i can quite safely conclude that she did it out of spite.
oh and about the 409 game.
AHHH i could have stopped alot of balls going to junting i think. or maybe at least distracted her abit. but all the passes that went over, i didnt dare to back up because i was afraid of backing into junting and knocking her over! its something about her brace that makes you feel really really sorry for her. =( you know its quite sad she has to wear the brace all the time until she's 18 when she stops growing, which is when she can go for her operation. but i digress.
but all in all i think it was a relatively good day. we spent the rest of netball carn screaming our heads off after learning that we could have EASILY beaten 410 to the champions. XD at one point we all held hands and ran screaming across the field, before realising when we were out of breath that we had to run back. haha.
and i just have to say WELL DONE EVERYONE. shooters, cheerers, players and all the random other people like karen and adeline who were scoring! and vidya who filled yuezhen's bottle for me! haha i think we really made netball carn a day to remember! but poor poor wing who sprained her ankle in the middle of a game. hai what is with our midfielders and ankles! yuezhen wing kelly and actually if you think about it, vivian! haii lol vivian's case was sad though i think its quite terrible not to play during netball carn because of some injury or another. VIVIAN however, was happily playing tennis later.... okay anyway
then after dismissal we walked to luvy's house! i SWEAR its like a hotel in there. with the keycard access and all. mmm i never saw her house though we all went into the function room. since the toilet was busy i sat in her freezing lobby with shuting and talked/stoned for awhile. then we went back into the function room and i changed, and played one round of pig, and THEN THE FOOD CAME! ahha yummm pizza. after pizza i played abit of the game of life, where my life was going quite good. i was an accountant, with a salary of $80 thousand, had stock, and i wasnt gay! (unlike simran; but in all fairness i was the one who made her gay) but like halfway through the game shuting annouced that they were going to PLAY TENNIS!!! so i got all flustered and made yuezhen take over my game when i rushed off to go play tennis too! yuezhen later reported that she almost won - dengying winning her by only $10 thousand (which is very little in game of life)
tennis was superbly fun! ahha i got luvy's father's racket or something because it was nice and not too light and not too heavy and it had a shock absorber! lol and me and shuting were feeling pro because we could at least get the ball over the net. XD i later found out, however, that many people in our class can play tennis! so many of them take lessons/are naturally pro! this fact, i smsed over to shuting after she left early at 9 with sophia. when shuting replied, i was playing tennis so i made yuezhen reply for me.
at one point i said "oh sorry this time no bubblegum!" then shuting replied "oh nvmind now got mp3 and bow wow wow" and everyone was being pseudo suspicious and hmmmm okay bubblegum must mean drugs and bow wow wow must be some kind of alcohol.
it was a fun game! XD we should have outings like this more often. okay i shall go now. this is kind of a long blog entry isnt it! hahaa okay but cannot compare with shuting. 0_____o

we had netball practise morning and afternoon. watched many people who were not supposed to get injured get injured ): ahh hope everyone is well enough to play tomorrow! after the morning session, we had 4 hours to kill between 11am and 3pm since we werent allowed to play. so everyone went to scotts food court and we rooted ourselves there. i was very contentedly falling asleep while doing sudoku with kelly, when huimin suddenly smsed to remind me of our finance meeting in school, evaporating my intention of taking a nap ): but i have to say i wasnt very useful at the meeting i slept for half an hour in the middle of it instead. oops.
then home, pack, sleep.

JYNXS OUTING! haha at last, after a million years. guess where we went to !
ohh it's so fun we took the bus to changi village, where we bought lots of food and then we took the boat from the ferry terminal. it's so exciting ahh i missed the boat since obs xD i realised that i didnt forget how to cycle in ubin! although im very rusty the last time i cycled was in p6 during the dumb road safety thing i think. hahaha and i got demerit points during the silly thing for reckless driving. aka not controlling my bike properly. anyway we cycled for like 2h++ what an accomplishment! jynxs braved the glaring sun, muddy trails, m-shaped turns, visited scary temples and a 10-year old pig. then we went back to mainland with aching butts and ugly tan lines on our hands (oh wait that's just me i think), and had lunch in pizzahut. we stayed there for almost 2h to AHEM talk. ahh and i forgot to buy yujia the ice cream i owe her! next time : D we must go out for movie together : D the last time we watched one was in sec2! yay jynxs*

friday's the day that i got of the wrong side of bed. plus the past week stretched me a bit thin so i was tired and grouchy SORRY to people i ignored. there was netball, options briefing, focus gorup with mrs chew, ne quiz and then fiddling with options. i actually got my first choice for options im quite surprised! but well i didnt realise that i have quite strange teachers for some of the classes i hope they turn out fine. walao it's an average of 9h in school a day during options la. anyway i was dying by afternoon so i went home to read myself to sleep.

haha and it was important to catch up on my sleep on friday ; ) because saturday's NANHUA REUNION! after 3 and a half years, friends we gather once again. im still amazed that it actually worked out well and so many people showed up. THANK YOU alicia alison bernard eliel fangjin jeremiah jeremy joa-ee jodie joshua kahhou kern kunwon lester leyou lijian lingzhang peixuan sean sihao siheng simin weijia yingbo yishan yuen : D even though there werent many opportunities to talk to a lot of you, but it's good to see everyone again. really good. not long ago, we were still running after one another in the temporary canteen. but now we're almost at the end of our secondary school journey ahh. but the memories are still very clear - the silly things we used to do, the funny things that happened, the teachers haha. somehow, right now, it doesnt seem like that long ago.
and VERY SORRY to people i couldnt recognise. people grew taller, grew thinner, started paying more attention to their hairstyles, and scandals evolved that i didnt know about! JODIE i saw : D and leyou has such. nice. pants. haha i like my mahjong/cards table! so fun : D we should set up our own gambling den. it's very funny when we were playing asshole taiti and joshua had to give up his biggest card to me - yeah a 7 of spades. and the rest of the game was like "anything above 7, i automatically pass" hahaha! and during the game yu en stared at some card on the table and pointed to 4 cards in his hand, "i have to add up all these to beat that". haha and all that talk about "beginner's luck" and lester's infamous 3 of clubs. table you rock! and chensiheng the secret pro at mahjong. you all play a lot in school right! eh i miss you people. let's get together again in november (:

after that i went to chris-tin's place to play tennis. noo chris it was disastrous it was such a destroyed game. i even whacked my left hand a few times so now it's bruised. walao i didnt even play properly enough for my racket blister to re-form la! more more play more!

i went to sentosa beach with lingxi and zhanghe. but guess what? it rained. with thunder and lightning -.- we managed to wade around in the shallow waters for a while and laze around under the sun, before the storm took us by surprise. whatever time we managed to spend playing was fun la and so was sitting down in coffee bean and talking. but WHYdid it have to be cloudy and rain. now my tan remains destroyed and as hweeleong correctly guessed, i look more or less like a racoon.
so! the september holidays are over. ali calls it my Grand Plan to go out every day of the holidays, and i think i more or less accomplished that. YESS. FIRST TIME OKAY. term 4 will have congress sln philo maths chinese robotics nrp (!!!). but half an hour more before all that. enjoy! the last few minutes of the holidays.

Whee okay i promised myself that i would study integration today so i shall not be long!
tennis yesterday was COOL. comeon shuting ADMIT IT it was quite good! we could at least rally quite nicely. ah we are going to own pe tmr!
anyway GUESS WHAT. i made lots and lots of jewellery yesterday!
i made: 2 necklaces, 2 bracelets, and 1 pair of earrings! and one of the necklaces and the earrings are superbly cool. i'd take a photo and post it up, but my parents went to watch the barclays open at sentosa and i think they took the cam. =(
haha if anyone wants to design their own jewellery you can just buy me the beads and i'll help you make okay! its so fun. i need so much stuff. i need lobsterclasps, smaller jumprings, crimpbeads, leather clasps, chain extenders, and chains! oh and teardrop crystals. ahh lol i think i spend alot of money on this.
who wants to go to far east with me! oh and im going to bring my tennis racket to shaw centre to regrip it cos my dad says its better than doing it myself! mmm so many things to do, so little time! and guess what, im going to make my own earring stand from bbq mesh (that we didnt use) and bamboo. although i really liked the one that my cousin had. she bought it for $40 from shaw centre too.

for the first time, september holiday this year is turning out pretty good. of course last year's njrc was great (acqua!), but the withdrawl after that was just a bit hard to deal with.
sunday!
i went down to orchard with lingxi gen and zhanghe. one of the advantages of going out with the jurong clan is that you have company almost right from the moment when you step out of your house. and of course we talk incessantly about everything under the sun when we're together :D we went around looking at prom dresses for a while, then we settled down for dinner. haha then we got very bored, so we started playing with the camera.
we were playing some game where we took turns to continue a story in pairs, and the other pair had to act out the scenes. the narration is in my shutterfly. it's a bit silly but super funny. JUST LOOK AT GEN hahahaha!
monday!
actually we went home quite early after dinner on sunday, but because of ahem reasons, i stayed up late on sunday night. which turned out to be a big mistake because on monday morning i woke up at exactly the time when i was supposed to meet xiaoxi and mrs leung to go down to yangzhe's house for nsc lego challenge. i never ran out of my house as quickly as i did on that day =\ but thank goodness i dont live that far away from lakeside and we had planned to meet quite a bit earlier than the time at which the online competition starts. but GUESS WHO BEAT ME HANDS DOWN. when we got to yangzhe's house, we were stuck outside with nobody to open the door for us. we tried calling her, ringing the doorbell and everything but nothing worked. turned out that her doorbell wasnt working AND that woman was still sleeping by the time we got there. haha YOU'RE AMAZING la yangzhe even i dont get spooked enough by POTC to lose sleep over it.
anyway the competition was quite lame. since it was online, we received all our instructions online, and we were supposed to download our programme through the net to the robot in singapore poly. the mission wasn't very hard, but the whole system was pretty screwed. after doing our programme, we just couldnt get it to download to the designated server. so we called up singapore poly about a thousand times, but they just kept telling us to re-try and once in a while i would hear the guy over the phone telling the other people at the competition venue that "i dont know what she's talking about." what! but okay credits to singapore poly, our robot eventually moved. although i suspect that the programme didnt download properly, which was why the robot moved everywhere, even out of the arena, except where it was supposed to go. haha crap that NEVER happens with a lego robot kay at most it gets a bit wonky but it's not supposed to go haywire! so it cant entirely be our fault right :D it's not very surprising that all the teams in the session before ours attained zero points. and ya we ended up with zero too, but somehow we're still like the top in our group. isnt that just a bit weird.
but the competition aside, the best part of the entire stay in yangzhe's house was of course LUNCH. her maid makes GOOD spaghetti. haha i think that was part of the reason why i was a bit annoyed by the singapore poly guy. EVERYONE was eating and i was stuck there talking to him over the phone and listening to him tell people that i make zero sense. terrible isn't it. also borrowed dan brown and a stack of vcds from yangzhe, so i expect that i'll be spending a lot more time sitting on the couch than in front of my computer for the next week or so. i havent been reading for such a long time, that im making it a point to make up for it during options.
after the competition wrapped up around 3, i rushed home to grab my racket and stuff and chionged to chris-tin's place to play tennis. having learnt the basics before most certainly doesnt mean that we can play properly xD it took a bit of getting used to, since we both havent touched our rackets for a long long time. but towards the later half of the two hours we could actually make a few decent rallies. it's definitely much more succesful than the time we tried to play badminton. practise will make perfect :D so we're playing again on saturday. i really need new shoes though my pair is destroying my toes. anyway after that we returned to her house and chris taught me to make earrings. she more or less stood over me with a club and whacked me when i did something wrong. haha no la but i did need a lot of help. so with the pro's help, my two pairs turned out nice :D friend i'll buy you beads the next time i go down to far east! then we watched the best parts of chicago over dinner and ginger beer, and we actually covered the whole show in one hour. by the time i got home all i could do was to pack for tuesday and read for a while before i fell asleep.

KAYAKING COURSE for leadership camp facilitators @ paddle course! it was great i love kayaking. people let's take the kayaking course yuhyiing mentioned so that we can get our cert! the sln people were great fun to be with, especially group 2. bern yiing nard aj yen jeanting joanne and me! while we waited for our turn to go out to sea we built this huge lump of sand on the beach. it's supposed to be called a sandcastle i think xD AND we got to bury yen in the sand and turn her into an um rather pretty sculpture. the best part was going out to sea of course :D we practised the basic strokes that the odac girls were teaching us on land, as well as capsizing and rescues. it was really nice just cruising on the surface of the sea. despite the fact that the sea was quite choppy, aj and i conquered the waves! we're telepathic man we're such good kayaking partners. wahaha and we capsized ONLY 4 times. haha the last time we capsized was the most hilarious of all. we were practising the water exit and T-rescue, and it was our turn to help bern and jeanting's kayak. the very first time, after emptying the kayak of water, flipping it back and everything, the kayak capsized again when they were getting on so we had to repeat the process. the second time, those two managed to get onto the kayak, and then we were all cheering, when somehow suddenly they capsized again. hahaha and this time, they capsized our kayak too xD omg and we're going to be facilitators. but we definitely learnt a lot today la i think we're much better prepared for leadership camp now, thanks to mr tan and odac. they were the most patient teachers (: but mr tan also made us muaji after that, so we spent some time rolling around in the sand after getting wet (yeah that means the sand sticks) AND on top of one another. oh gosh. haha all of us were probably none too clean by the time we left paddle course.
the cloudy weather was very deceptive i dont know how i could have forgotten that the uv light is still very strong even when the sun isnt staring at us in the face. so now i think im sunburnt. jurong clan is still going to the beach on sunday! although it's not going to be a daring sun-tanning trip like bern's :D but still it wont be nice to go under the sun if i get burnt right. please unburn unburn.
after i managed to somewhat clean myself up, i went to join twin for lunch in orchard. we were supposed to go birthday present shopping, but all we managed to accomplish was to wander all over orchard without finding anything. oh well present-buying is not that easy anyway. and it's not as if i minded walking around with good company. we met jiacong and co who were having tarbet house comm amazing race in far east. it's a bit strange that all the boards and houses are having camps during the holidays and at the same time we all are so free. but for now im happy just the way it is.
then i went down to yiochukang to play badminton with jiali wing xinyi simran yuans liping weiming pei'en yihui. we had 3 courts to ourselves for 2h. hahaha pei'en plays badminton like a ballerina! yuans and liping are super comical, and jiali wing xinyi simran and especially weiming are just pro. ehh yihui i didnt get to play with you at all! badminton with these people is always fun. but then my stamina eventually gave up on me i started to move really slowly and i couldnt drive the shuttlecock back as far as i wanted it to go. quite sad. weiming i must play with you again some other day!
all in all not too bad. i came out of the past two days alive, with only a few scratches from the kayak, my usual racket blisters, two chipped nails, aching hands, and a sunburn. it's tiring though, and there's still netball tomorrow. im ready to call it a day. good night!

hello. ahh omg im aching so badly. somebody help me! okay my left calf is particulary bad and i couldnt really walk properly when i got up. i am so seriously out of shape!
and yes i am proud to announce that the pro team of 411 won 405, 412 and 413 yesterday! but then again, we had jingli and simran who (once the ball was in their hands) always ALWAYS scored. and after i tried blocking jingli for the centre pass, and it was super difficult because jingli is very VERY fast. i have no idea how she does it.
i did some conditioning at the fitness corner, so i sat out the last match against 413 cos i was too tired. haha serve me right. i think i shouldnt give myself such high impact stuff after no training for so long!
anyway after that me and shuting went back to my house together and yes, unsuccessfully (tried to) play badminton. ahhh it was so relaxing lying on my bed in the aircon room!! so we slept for awhile, and after some time shuting got up and did dont know what. me, being a pig, decided to sleep for a LONG LONG TIME more. i think because i had a vauge sleepy idea that shuting was awake, i went on to dream that when i woke up, shuting was doing mila-type physics. then i was so freaked out because in my dream, we were going to have some kind of physics o levels and shuting was already preparing for it. -.- it was so traumatising okay!!!
yeah then after that we played burnout 3! or thats what i think it was called. following 15 minutes of trying to find the player console, we finally sat down to play!!!! one of the objectives was to.. ahem. crash the other cars. heeheee!!!
then it was time to pick up vivian and audrye from the mrt! when we went there, we discovered that vivian was on the other side of the mrt and that audrye was ONLY AT KALLANG(when she was supposed to be at kembangan!) so being the happy family that we were, we decided to wait patiently for her. auds was so cute she came hurtling out of the mrt station when she reached! so by the time we reached my godma's house, it was about 615 and hui min (look THE SPACE!) was kindly invited in there already. ahhaa i bet she was feeling uncomfortable!
yeah so we played some bridge and guess who was the king! XD and shuting was always my queen. i feel bad for vivian though she was constantly the asshole. =) auds and hui min changed places i think. the dogs (choc or muffin i cant tell now) kept drinking out of our water glasses though.
yes and then after that, we made pizza! our first one was pear-shaped, and had a stuffed crust! our second was rectangular, the third was heart-shaped, and the last one was tiny and also heart shaped. and guess what! none of them kept their shapes. haha but they were really good to eat though. and im proud to announce that the pizzas that we didnt eat, everyone else did! dont we rock! and auds im so sorry you were sick and couldnt eat much... are you okay now? or did you get worse?? >.<
and cake! cake cake cake! haagen daaz icecream cake! ROYAL TEMPETATION, belgain chocolate! lol wasnt it nice! the label said "eat if you love chris-tin. love godmas" guess who worded it! and sorry hui min for making your dad wait!
yes and after everyone left i sat down and made earrings! shuting's earrings to be exact. you should be honoured to get my first pair and oh they're pretty!!! ahhaa just now i made like 4 more pairs.

my arm muscles are somewhat aching following netball prac yesterday. i cant imagine how everyone else who turned up are doing, considering that i was already one hour late because i overslept after the whole cockroach extravagenza. (class i owe you 132 pushups!) but then again, probably nobody is as unfit as i am. wing kindly spared me from the punishment of playing centre in the very first game, hahaha THANK YOU im really very grateful and not laughing at you at all. NETBALL! i want to practise practise practise goodness knows that i need it.
i thought you would be the answer im looking for
i went over to chris-tin's house after that. when her mum was driving us home from the mrt station, i received an extensive education on the art of catching cockroaches from mum. CHRIS i swear your mum is going to remember me as the cockroach person =\ it was quite descriptive, but i dont think i'll ever try. when we got there, we very pathetically tried to play badminton without a court, amongst many trees, and when the wind was happily blowing. guess what? surprise, it didnt work! 5 minutes later we gave up and went back to her house, although it probably took longer than 5 min to dig out the rackets and shuttlecocks. we more or less lazed the afternoon away, sleeping, reading, listening to music, watching fruit basket, smashing cars on her ps2.
how could it turn out so terribly wrong
it was chris-tin's birthday party at her godmother's place in the evening. audrye huimin vivian shuting and obviously chris-tin. the house was super nice. we got to make our own pizza and laksa there. i think we were quite brave to eat the pizza we made ourselves. ahh we forgot to take pictures of them before baking, otherwise it would be obvious why. but turned out that looks are deceiving and THEY WERE GOOD. we're such fantastic cooks! oh it's called talent :D we played bridge for a while, but after that we mostly spent time playing with chris-tin's younger cousins. they are so super cute they named everyone! audrye vivian shuting huimin - smelly, extremely smelly, stubborn and extremely stubborn. how flattering xD chris got to be extremely nice, haha but the kind kids were probably just trying to be nice to her since it's her birthday. THE CAKE! we had haagen-daaz chocolate ice-cream cake it was soo good. and chris received this set of tools and materials for making earrings and im the honoured receipent of the first pair of earrings she made with these :D haha thanks.

i need to get up by 6am but i dont feel like sleeping as yet. let me talk about what happened yesterday! fps family went for outing to celebrate first day of
LIBERATION :D audrye huimin and i were supposed to meet at 10.45 to settle chris' present (shh it's a secret). but as usual, all 3 of us were late. while waiting for the other two, i met peiyi at the far east bus stop, looking sharp in his uniform haha. it's quite funny how we always seem to meet under all sorts of different circumstances but never back at our primary school. before i had the chance to ask him more about the chocolate fondue they had at nanhua the day before (!!!!!!), huimin appeared. so we marched up to the shop where we can
make chris-tin's dream come true excitedly, only to realise that it only opens at noon. anticlimax. so there was no choice but to settle it another day since we had to meet chris soon. chris be patient your present will come!
but anyhow, after a long long time, finally the family was reunited in cine! even though we didnt end up doing much other than just walking around and having lunch together, it's just nice to be with everyone again. after lunch, chris made us all close our eyes and then, she surprised us all with gifts. she had sewn these felt dices with "fps" and the first letter of our names on each one for all 4 of us IT IS REALLY SWEET thank you :D so much for you 2h x 4 of effort through 5 episodes of friends, i cant remember how many of fruit basket

Huimin! we are precious. because of you all im really glad that i did fps. we may not be very good at fps, or very good at brainstorming, or very good at working together sometimes, and we really do come up with the dumbest ideas, but all those tedious, long days of racking our brains really brought us together within a few months. in the end, what i gained from the fps programme is totally different from what i expected when we decided to take up fps in the beginning of the year, but this is much better.

i met up with my mum and brother after that. guess where we went to!
it was really fun i've forgotten that families can have as much fun outside as friends do. we were mostly at the beaches where we took an almost unbecoming number of photos of the sand the water the plants the bridges, everything. haha we must have seemed really strange to the young people who were there in groups. we went to watch the musical fountain too. it's pretty :D water, fire, lights and laser, and sentosa really played up the cute factor of the show. it made me miss france though, especially futuroscope! their version was much more splendid and miss-able even though we had to sit around with our hands freezing in the winter night just to catch it, and we didnt understand a word of the french narration. 27 is <3!

hey it's not that i dont want to verify whether it's dead. after being motivated by my dear friend, i actually managed to open the stuck cupboard doors for the first time in like 6 years. it's really high up, right below the ceiling. so i climbed onto my chair to check the base of the cupboard, but i was too short to see. okay, so i put my zaobaos to good use and stacked them up on my piano bench before climbing up again. still too short. hmm so i decided to make use of all the copies of newsweek that we ordered as well! they're printed on glossy paper so it's really hard to balance. but after i somehow managed, i was still too short! so i added my sec1 french notes which have been sitting in an isolated corner of my room since, well, sec1, to the stack as well, and i climbed up with great difficulty, and guess what. im still too short to see anything.
okay..
who on earth designed this thing?!
if i get an ant invasion because of this,
mum it's your turn to take care of it, instead of just wishing me good luck and going to bed.

plastic bag over my hand and catch it. do you have any idea how disgusting that is?! and how do you expect me to concentrate on killing it when you're telling me lame jokes all night!

nyehh somehow im supposed to be tired and really sleepy but im blogging so HAH.
i'll try to get our pics and music (whatever i can get! hoho) up soon, im still trying to find out how to put it in. apparently you have to host it somewhere or something.
and huimin! yes! we didnt bomb that badly (i think). or at least i hope we didnt. lalala.
argh dysmenorrohea. people who dont get it are super lucky. sigh wish i was one of them.
anyway if any of you are feeling bored you can all go to
http://www.albinoblacksheep.com and watch all the interesting little flash movies they have. i recommend "she blocked me" and "numa numa". oh the "guniea pig way" is also very cute. OH! and "A&W". and not forgetting, "the llama song!" okay fine just go watch all. they're all quite cute. but beware you might be subjected to some sexual humour (or so it is supposed to be). there was one which i clicked on and it looked so innocent (i think it was the smurfs one) and it was so sick. but those i recommended are pure and white! ahhaa.
